Here are some unbelievable statistics that i struggle to get my head around. Here I live with an amazing healthcare system. A healthy happy baby boy. Spoiled for he essentials.

Every day 17,000 children die, most from entirely preventable causes. Around 3,000 children die every day from diseases related to water and sanitation. Practical care and medical attention are essential to fighting child mortality; however, for children to survive and thrive for their fifth birthday, they also need to have self-confidence, healthy relationships and awareness of the world around them. This is what Compassion’s Child Survival Programme strives to achieve.

I often take Noah's health and his future for granted. And I can not imagine what it is like for a mother to bury her child. The idea is heartbreaking. But this is a common tragedy outside of our country. My church has partnered with the Manadonese community to UN a hold survival project for years and this has given mums access to health checks, information care, resources and a wealth of things we take for granted. And the amazing thing is - it has been a beautiful success :).
